Its floral (peonie, violet) and fresh red fruits (raspberry, blackcurrent) nose opens on a sweet palate with intense notes of morello cherries and dark berries on smooth and light tannins. A well balanced Beaujolais!

This is a rather nice Beaujolais. It benefits from a few minutes air to lose some acidity. Dark red fruit and some vegetal notes on the nose. On the palate the fruit is well balanced with light acidity and smooth tannins. The tannins are enough that this really needs food. The finish is moderately long and clean, albeit somewhat drying.
I’ve had some less good experiences with Gamay in the past with overwhelming banana flavours. This restores my faith in reasonably priced Beaujolais, and I hope it becomes a regular product here.
