Bulgur is a cereal food, originating from Middle Eastern cuisine, is made from cracked whole grain wheat berries that are partially cooked and then dried.
To prepare bulgur, simply soak it in an equal amount of boiling water for 10 minutes, then fluff it up with a fork. From there, it’s a mildly nutty, chewy, textural blank canvas for any and all seasonings, dressings, and accompaniments.
You can serve bulgur as an accompaniment for fish and meats with a sauce, or try to mix it with your favorite vinaigrette and some veggies for a healthy salad.
