Nectarine, Flat from Spain (Organic)

Originally from China where it was already observed 3 000 years ago, nectarine is considered to be a mutation of its peach ancestor. It ended up on European stalls during the 15th century through the Silk Road linking the East to the West.

Sweet, with a subtle aroma and very refreshing, what is sometimes called “shaved peach” or “fuzzless peach”, due to its lack of fuzz or short hairs, is a real treat in summer days. Yellow nectarines have a higher sugar content compared with white ones, but white nectarines taste sweeter due to its lack of acid.
