Apricot has been introduced in Greece by Alexander the Great, it soon spread into Western Europe where it has been grown since then.
Apricot Mikado is a super-early self-fertile variety. Mikado has a spherical shape with an orange with a red blush coloration in a large percentage of the skin, a firm flesh and a balanced taste.
Apricots contain various phytochemicals, such as provitamin A beta-carotene and various polyphenols. Rich in fibers, apricots are beneficial for digestive transit and contribute to colon cancer and heart disease prevention.
