Under the guidance of Christian Janier, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, this new goat’s cheese joins their curated range, celebrated for its aromatic finesse and playful character.
Hailing from Saône-et-Loire, this small, elongated fresh goat cheese has a distinctive quenelle shape. Made from raw goat’s milk and delicately infused with wild serpolet (wild thyme), it offers a soft, lactic, and slightly tangy core with a light, almost mousse-like texture. The flavour is clean and direct, marked by the freshness of the milk and a subtle, dry, citrusy herbal note from the wild thyme.
Best enjoyed fresh, spread on a slice of rye or sourdough bread. It pairs beautifully with a dry, floral white wine like a Saint-Véran or a glass of sparkling Crémant. Its delicate nature also makes it a perfect addition to spring salads or served with fresh berries.
Storage: Keep refrigerated and consume while fresh, ideally within a few days of purchase.
