Bouchot Mussels from Mont Saint-Michel are the only mussels awarded the prestigious PDO label. They are grown using traditional methods on wooden stakes called “bouchots,” which keep them off the seabed and protect them from sand and parasites.
Raised in the unique environment of Mont Saint-Michel, famous for having the highest tides in continental Europe, these mussels develop a distinctive character. Their flesh is delicately iodized, with a subtle hazelnut flavour and a hint of sweetness. The texture is creamy and silky, never floury.

The mussels were plump and tender, with a rich, briny flavor that was simply divine. I love that they’re harvested from the famous Mont Saint-Michel bay, which adds to their unique flavor and texture.
