Epirus

Graviera with 4 Peppers

Weight: 300

Graviera cheese comes in second to Feta as the most popular cheese in Greece. It is a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) made by Karalis Dairy in the Greek region of Epirus. It is made exclusively from selected Greek sheep and goat milk from local free-range sheep and goat breeds from the Sohos region, without any preservatives or additives. Due to the long maturation period and low moisture, kasseri PROIKAS has the piece characteristic taste of a Greek cheese and a unique aftertaste with sweet and buttery undertones.

Enjoy it as a table cheese, after leaving it out of the fridge for half an hour to release its flavours, accompanying it with a glass of wine, fruit and nuts.
Graviera can also be fried like the famous greek dish Saganaki (check out the recipe here) or be used as a surprise ingredient in soufflés and gratins.

Graviera can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for at least a couple of weeks.
