In the cooler months, try them in a warm apple and cinnamon compote. For that, simply simmer peeled apple slices with a splash of water, brown sugar, and a dash of cinnamon until tender. Serve with vanilla ice cream or spooned over crêpes for a comforting seasonal treat.
