Originally developed in Switzerland in the 1940s and popularized in France, Cordon Bleu is a dish made by layering meat with cheese and ham, then breaded and cooked. This version is produced by Volailles Luteau, a French poultry specialist based in Vendée, known for its consistent quality and traceability standards.

This Cordon Bleu is made from tender French chicken breast, filled with aged Comté cheese and smoked ham, then coated in a golden breadcrumb crust. The result is a balanced combination of creamy, salty, and savory flavours with a crisp outer texture and a melting, rich interior.

Pair with a Jura Chardonnay. The wine’s natural acidity and subtle nuttiness complement the Comté cheese and cut through the richness of the filling and breading.

Cooking Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (fan).
  • Place Cordon Bleu on a baking tray.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and fully heated through.
  • Let rest 2 minutes before serving.
