These Spinach Beausse from France are grown in the fertile fields of France, where a temperate climate and rich soils give the leaves a tender texture and a clean, fresh flavour. Their deep green, smooth leaves have a delicate, slightly earthy taste with a gentle sweetness and no bitterness, making them more refined than many standard spinach varieties.
Use them raw in salads when young and tender, or lightly wilted in pans, soups, quiches, tarts and pasta dishes. They pair beautifully with eggs, cream, garlic, nutmeg, soft cheeses and fish, and can also be simply steamed or sautéed with olive oil and a pinch of salt as a quick, nutritious side.
