Pear, Red Williams from France – Mouneyrac

Grown in the orchards of southwestern France by Mouneyrac, these Red Williams pears are a striking red-skinned selection of the classic Williams (Bartlett) variety. Their thin, smooth skin ranges from bright to deep red, sometimes blushed with green. Inside, the creamy white flesh is fine, tender and very juicy, with an intense, fragrant aroma and a refreshing sweetness balanced by a subtle hint of tartness. Their flavour is distinctly pear-like, with notes of honey, white flowers and a light musky finish.

Enjoy them fresh as a snack, sliced into salads or fruit bowls, or paired with soft cheeses such as Brie or Gorgonzola. They also work beautifully in compotes, tarts, poached desserts and smoothies, where their aromatic character really shines.
