Made from West Country Cheddar since 1965, in Somerset, England, Applewood captures the flavour of the British countryside.

The cheese has a delicate smoky flavour – that does not leave a burnt aftertaste – and a lovely smooth texture, all finished with a dusting of paprika, giving it a golden-amber appearance.

You can enjoy Applesmoke Cheddar as part of a cheese platter, or you can use it to add a smoky flavour to grilled sandwiches, burgers, or macaroni and cheese.
Should be stored in the refrigerator, wrapped in cheese paper.

Red wines (Beaujolais, Pinot Gris)

    I’ve always liked smoked cheese in the past, but this one is just far too intense for me – almost uneatable without a large amount of something else to dilute it.
