Apricot from France

Weight: 500

Maison Cruchaudet has long nurtured orchards in the sun-drenched Rhône Valley, a region famous for yielding fruit with a deep, honeyed fragrance. The producer’s history is rooted in patience; they cultivate Bergeron and Rouge du Roussillon varieties, often allowing the apricots to ripen fully on the branch. Traditionally, these fruits were dried or preserved to carry summer’s sweetness through winter, a practice that highlights their natural tenderness.

On taste, a Cruchaudet apricot is a soft and soothing experience. The velvet skin gives way to juicy, melting flesh that tastes of sunlight. The aroma is warm and delicate—like a bouquet of orange blossom and wildflower honey. On the palate, it opens with a quiet, gentle sweetness (reminiscent of peach nectar) before unfolding into a tender, floral finish with whispers of vanilla and fresh cream. There is no sharp acidity here, only a smooth, comforting embrace.  This is summer in a quiet moment—honest, tender, and utterly memorable.

Wine Pairing:

For drinks, suggest a glass of crémant or a chilled Vouvray to echo the fruit’s soft stone-fruit notes. A light white tea also complements the apricot’s gentle nature beautifully. Avoid heavy tannins or sharp citrus.

Food Pairing:

Pair simply with a light, nutty Comté cheese or a spoonful of fromage blanc.

How to eat?

To eat, serve them at room temperature to release their full aroma.
