Apricot, also called ”Armenian apple” has disputed origins between Armenia, China, India and sometimes even Japan. Introduced in Greece by Alexander the Great, it soon spread into Western Europe where it has been grown since then. Slightly over 50% of apricots are produced in the Mediterranean area.
Orange Rubis apricots are originated from France. They are oblong with an attractive orange skin with 30-40% red blush, very good flavour, aromatic, low acidity and high sugar level.

Hm, not sure I’ll be trying these again. A couple arrived in the box already bruised, and the others weren’t too flavourful either. Wasn’t thrilled with the texture.
