The famous english PDO cheese, Stilton, got its name from the village it was first sold in the 18th century. Originally made with Shorthorn cow milk, it gives a rich and intense flavour to the cheese. Smooth, creamy and open textured, it is Buttery and slightly bitter, ideal to eat it with white port wine and pear fruits.
