Sémillon wine is loved for its full body, like Chardonnay, but with flavors closer to Pinot Gris or Sauvignon Blanc.
Starting from the 2016 vintage, Hubert de Boüard-de-Laforêt, a seasoned winegrower since 1956 and co-owner of Château Angelus – Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A, as well as an oenology consultant for over 80 properties worldwide, embarked on an innovative endeavor. He began producing a range of varietals from his own vineyard plots, bearing his own label. This project aims to establish new standards of excellence for each varietal.
Hubert de Boüard Semillon nose has notes of lemon, green apple, and yuzu. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness and tangy frame.
Pairs wonderfully with seafood, shellfish, pork, veal, chicken, and dishes with cream sauces.

Paul C –
This is quite a heavily oaked wine, with strong notes of citrus, pineapple, perhaps pears along with the vanilla sweetness from the oak. For me it demands quite strong food. Happily I am drinking it with some sashimi and rice rolls where I’m going heavy on the wasabi and ginger, and for that it’s working really well – big enough to complement those strong flavours. For less strongly flavoured food you’d really need to like oaky wine for this to work.
