Vieille Eau de Vie de Prune du Perigord
This old plum Eau-de-vie from Périgord is a “pure fruit” brandy, resulting from a natural fermentation of two different varieties of plums (from Ente and Reine-Claude), indicated in the Périgord region.
These fermented plums are then distilled in traditional copper stills, then aged for a minimum of 2 years in old oak barrels.
It is a sweet and very fruity brandy, reminiscent of the brandy that was made in the old French countrysides.
The finesse and the perfume of this Brandy are simply appreciated at the end of the meal. Serve at room temperature preferably in a tulip-shaped glass, or in the still warm bottom of your coffee cup. The quantity served must be minimal, 2 cl to 4 cl, the digestive being the last aromatic touch of a good meal.
