Burrata, meaning “buttery” in Italian, is a famous cheese from Apulia in southern Italy where it’s hugely popular. First made by the Bianchini family in the 1920s, it looks like mozzarella on the outside but reveals a creamy stracciatella filling inside.
Soft, creamy, and delicate, Burrata elevates countless dishes. Try it with sliced tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and a drizzle of olive oil for classic flavour. It’s also perfect atop pasta with simple sauces like tomato, cherry tomatoes, or pesto, adding rich creaminess.
Storage: Keep refrigerated until the best-by date. For leftovers, store in an airtight container with its liquid for 1–2 days to maintain freshness.
Wine Pairing:
White wines (Sauvignon Blanc, Cotes du Roussillon, Sancerre)

This was excellent. Had it with sliced cherry tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic, and focaccia.

Excellent and creamy with a hint of sourness in the creamy strings of mozzarella inside. Gigantic ball that is perfect for putting in the middle of a show salad. We love it on a bed of rocket & baby tomatoes. Happily ordering it every month.

Add a drizzle of olive oil, a bit of black pepper, and serve with some freshly sliced tomato. Perfect
