Burrata means “buttery” in Italian, and it is just the word to describe this ball of deliciousness. First produced by the Bianchini Family in Puglia region in the 1920s, Burrata is prepared as a Mozzarella having the same exterior shell. The difference is its white filled paste gets some pieces of cream inside called stracciatella.
Soft, creamy, and delicate, Burrata is perfect for infinite numbers of dishes.
Add some sliced tomatoes, some fresh basil leaves and a dash of olive oil for an explosion of flavour in your mouth.
Store it in the refrigerator for up to its best-by date. If you open the package but won’t use it all at once, transfer the liquid to an airtight container for a day or two.
