The heritage of the L.N. Mattei distillery traces back to 1872 in Bastia. It was there that Louis Napoléon Mattei conceived the idea of creating an aperitif based on quinine-infused wine, giving rise to Cap Corse Mattei before establishing his distillery. Today, the brand offers a range of spirits in line with Louis Napoléon Mattei’s vision: unique and quality products, combined with local ingredients.
When nosed, it reveals a combination of floral scents and figs, complemented by hints of fruit in brandy. On the palate, it presents roasted and floral notes, accompanied by delightful touches of candied fruit. The finish is delectable, featuring a subtle quinine sensation.
