Cheese Type: Uncooked, Unpressed, soft cheese with herbs
Produced for 3 generations by the Jacquin family, in the heart of the Berry, Carré du Berry is a fresh goat cheese coated with a blend of Provencal herbs, peppercorns and juniper berries. As the goats are grazing on the Loire river bank, their milk is exceptionally rich in flavour.
While young, Carré du Berry has a fresh and lactic taste while aromatic and peppery flavours from its rind offers a delicious herbaceous aroma. Aged, the cheese gets floral and citrus aromas with a tangy creaminess.
Store it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks when opened.

Bought it during Christmas because it is colorful. I removed the peppercorns or else it was too strong to eat with.

Looks quite Christmassy, the taste is ok, but not very impressive

This is a really nice variation on goat’s cheese – the herbs, berries and peppercorns give it a slightly Christmassy look, and complement the flavour of the cheese really well.
