Chevrotin Fermier is a semi-soft cheese from the Savoy region of France. It is made from raw goat milk and has a natural rind.
A lesser-known fact about Chevrotin Fermier is that it is often called the “little Reblochon” because it is made in a similar style to the famous Reblochon cheese from the same region.
Chevrotin Fermier has a creamy, slightly nutty flavour with a tangy, goat milk taste. It is often used as a table cheese or in recipes, and pairs well with light, crisp white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
It should be stored in the refrigerator wrapped in cheese paper for up to 2 weeks.
Wine Pairing:
White wines (Chignin, Jacquere, Roussette)
