This is a rather nice wine. It needs about 30-45 minutes of air to settle down and lose its initial bitterness. Then it has rich dark red fruit on the nose, and the palate is a very nice balance of those slightly ripe fruits (unripe blackberries, blueberries), vegetal notes (herbs, twigs, maybe tobacco), just a little acidity, and smooth drying tannins which linger on the finish.
I wish Cheeseclub would make Olga Raffault wines available on an ongoing basis.
