Baechler Cheese Factory is a family-run dairy in Lot-et-Garonne with a long tradition of craftsmanship. Until the 1960s, most French dairies focused on butter production, using leftover milk only to make cheese.
Today, only 10% of French butter is still made using traditional churns. Baechler’s churned butter is crafted using the original churn Charles Baechler bought in 1951, carefully preserved and operated by his grandson Xavier, who is dedicated to keeping this artisanal tradition alive.
This extra-fine butter has a rich yellow colour and a smooth, flavourful texture. It is perfect for baking, cooking, or spreading on fresh bread. Enjoy it at breakfast with jams, honey, or fruit compotes for a delicious and indulgent start to your day, enhancing croissants, brioche, or warm toast.
