A rare alpine white, Coteaux du Grésivaudan IGP from Domaine Finot features the Verdesse grape—an ancient, nearly forgotten variety revived in Isère. The 2024 vintage is unoaked and lively, offering green pear, white peach, and citrus with a distinct floral lift of elderflower.
Each sip brings a lean, racy body and a long, saline-mineral finish from the clay-limestone soils. Unlike Chardonnay, Verdesse offers higher acidity and herbaceous notes of fresh cut grass and fennel. The wine sees stainless steel only, preserving its crisp, alpine character.
Serve chilled at 8°C with mountain cheeses, trout, or vegetable terrines. Perfect alongside raclette, perch fillets, or asparagus risotto. A crisp, heritage white that captures the fresh spirit of the Grésivaudan valley.
