Made by Éclat du Terroir, a bakery cooperative located in western France, this croissant is crafted with AOP Charentes-Poitou butter—one of the few butters in Europe to hold protected designation of origin status. The AOP label guarantees the butter’s regional origin, traditional production, and high quality, lending the croissant its distinctive aroma and richness. The dough is laminated and shaped using artisanal methods, preserving the skill and precision of classic French pastry-making.
Once baked, the croissant boasts a golden, flaky exterior with a crisp outer layer and delicate layers within. Its interior is light and honeycombed, melting in the mouth with every bite. The buttery aroma is instantly recognisable, and the taste is subtly sweet with a satisfying richness that lingers.
