The Quicke family has been farming in Newton St Cyres for 450 years; the dairy sits on 1500 acres of stunning Devon countryside, where 330 cows provide the rich milk for their cheeses. Devonshire Red Cloth Bound Cheese is handcrafted using heritage starters by the expert cheesemakers, clothbound and naturally matured, typically for 6 months.
Crafted by hand and allowed to mature naturally on their family farm in Devon, Quicke’s Ewe’s Milk Clothbound Cheese offers a buttery experience. Over the span of a year, this cheese has evolved into a remarkably rich and robust flavour, boasting fruity hints of olive oil throughout, a lengthy creamy center, and culminating in a nutty, subtly peppery finish.
It pairs wonderfully with a refreshing Chenin Blanc and is a fantastic addition to savoury muffins and pesto recipes..
Keep it in the fridge and consume within its expiration date.
