Crafted in Fontenille-Saint-Martin-d’Entraigues within the Poitou region, this cheese reflects a long tradition of goat cheese production. Its origins can be traced back to a significant event in 732 when Charles Martel triumphed over the Saracens in Poitiers. After this historic battle, the Saracens integrated into the local community, contributing to the art of crafting exceptional goat cheeses.
This goat cheese, made from raw milk, is extra-fresh. It is presented in its cheese mold, with its pearly white paste that is moist and consistent.
It complements salads, spreads, and appetizers exceptionally well. For a perfect pairing, savour it with a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Gris.
To maintain the freshness of this cheese, store it in your refrigerator. If needed, wrap it in cheese paper.
Wine Pairing:
White wines (Sauvignon Blanc, Pouilly Fume, Pinot Gris)

2 reviews for Extra Fresh Goat Cheese
Claud –
Very fresh. Nice to have it once in a while.
Paul C –
This is exactly what it says on the tin! It’s very fresh, very goaty, and very nice.
(The description is wrong though – the label clearly says pasteurised goats milk, not raw.)
