Originally from the city of Frankfurt in Germany where it was created in the 13th century, Frankfurt Sausage is traditionaly made with very finely minced pork, wrapped in mutton gut, and is smoked over beech wood.
Delicious simply emjoyed with some mustard, horseradish, bread or potato salad accompanied by a glass of crisp white wine.
To cook it, immerse it in simmering water and let it cook, still simmering, for 7 to 8 minutes (do not boil).
