Originally from Persia, Halva is a very popular dessert in Greece. The halva is a sugar and tahini paste (sesame cream). It can be plain, vanilla-flavoured, with almonds or even pistachios.
This dessert is extremely fragrant and will particularly appeal to sesame lovers. Nevertheless, its sweet taste and its vegan composition allow it to be appreciated by the largest number.
This version consists of pieces of almonds that give a crisp note to this sweet paste.
