Aged in the famous sandstone caves of Lucerne, Switzerland, Kaltbach Cave Aged is a distinctive expression of Swiss cheesemaking tradition. Nurtured by expert affineurs in a natural cave environment maintained at 12.5°C throughout the year, it gradually develops a rustic dark rind and a beautifully amber-coloured paste.
Rich and satisfying, it reveals layers of toasted nuts, sweet cream, and delicate earthy notes, supported by a pleasantly long finish. Its versatility makes it equally at home on a cheeseboard, shaved over seasonal dishes, or paired with fresh fruits, nuts, and a carefully chosen glass of wine.

Beautiful firm texture and a rich, nutty taste with a subtle earthiness from the aging process. It’s versatile and delicious, perfect for any cheese board

Creamy, nutty, moderately salty. Tastes a bit like Gruyere/Comte but with a softer, more creamy paste. Personally enjoyed this very much and think it’s a great for snacking even without wine pairing. Will try and see how it cooks too perhaps
