The famous English blue PDO cheese, Stilton, got its name from the village it was first sold in the 18th century. Originally made with Shorthorn cow’s milk that gives a rich and intense flavour to the cheese. Produced by Long Clawson, our Blue Stilton is an award winning cheese. It is made in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir by Master Cheesemakers who began crafting cheese over 100 years ago.The texture is granular and mellow but melty as butter in the mouth. Balanced with nutty, buttery, and sour cream notes, its blue veins come from the addition of Penicillium Roqueforti and enhance the spicy taste.
