This exceptional fruit takes its name from the town and is celebrated for its intense fragrance, vibrant flavour, and naturally high sugar content. When ripe, the Cavaillon melon develops a pale golden skin marked with distinctive bluish-green vertical stripes. Inside, its bright orange flesh is exceptionally juicy and tender, surrounding a central seed cavity and releasing deliciously sweet, syrup-like juices.
Its powerful aroma combines delicate floral notes with a tempting tropical character. The flavour is rich, fragrant, and intensely sweet, making it perfect to enjoy on its own or as an elegant starter paired with Bayonne or Serrano ham.
