Mesclun Salad from Australia

Mesclun is a green salad made from a mixture of young lettuce leaves. The mix often includes lettuce, arugula, endive, frisee, mizuma, oak leaf, mâche or lamb’s lettuce, radicchio, sorrel, chervil, groundsel and dandelion. It is a French word meaning “mixture”.

Mesclun can be served with a variety of dishes such as goat’s cheese, prawns or lemon sauce.
