Originally from China where it was already observed 3 000 years ago, nectarine is considered to be a mutation of its peach ancestor. It ended up on European stalls during the 15th century through the Silk Road linking the East to the West.
Sweet, with a subtle aroma and very refreshing, what is sometimes called “shaved peach” or “fuzzless peach”, due to its lack of fuzz or short hairs, is a real treat in summer days.

These are excellent, very tasty and perfectly ripened necatrines. However, I wish they were priced per piece rather than by a fixed weight which is obviously very, very approximate (and generally not in a good way) when the items weigh 80-120g each.
