Kiwi or Chinese gooseberry is native to China, namely the Shaanxi province. Although kiwi is commonly associated with New Zealand, Italy actually produces much more kiwi fruits than any other country in the world. The Red Sun variety is a two-color variety: its ripening pulp is yellow with the central part (the seeds crown) of an intense, shaded red color. Red Sun kiwi is sweeter than its conventional green siblings with a firm and juicy pulp. Attractive to the eye, it will also make its visual effect when used in refreshing salads.
