The William pear, also known as the Bartlett pear, is one of Europe’s most renowned pear varieties. Recognisable by its elegant bell shape and smooth skin, it gradually changes from green to a warm golden yellow as it ripens. Its delicate flesh is wonderfully juicy, tender, and naturally sweet, with a fragrant aroma and a subtly floral flavour.
Delicious when enjoyed fresh, William pears are also ideal for desserts, poaching, baking, salads, or pairing with cheese and savoury dishes.

By far the best pears I’ve had in Hong Kong! They quite literally “melt’ in your mouth, super juicy and full of flavor. I always order pears on Cheese Club and am never disappointed, but they usually arrive unripe, so you do have to let them outside of the fridge and wait a few days before eating them.
