The flesh is firm, crisp, and deeply aromatic, making Lovita ideal for eating fresh as a dessert plum, but also versatile in both sweet and savory applications – think tarts, clafoutis, compotes, sorbets, or paired with duck, foie gras, and roasted meats.
Developed by Israeli breeder Ben Dor, Lovita is prized not only for its taste and eye-catching appearance, but also for its agronomic resilience: it tolerates heat, requires minimal pruning, and maintains its quality for up to three months in storage.
