The red potato has an oblong shape and a pinkish skin under which hides a pale yellow flesh. It is a variety with firm flesh, which in fact holds up well to cooking.
This potato lends itself perfectly to various culinary uses. Like all varieties with firm flesh, you can steam it and enjoy it in a salad, in a gratin, but also sauté it in a little butter to flavour its fine flesh.
