Used as a cereal, although it is part of the chenopodiaceae like spinach and beets, Quinoa seeds look like little discs that are slightly yellow, red or black depending on the variety. Perfect to add to your salads.
Cook the quinoa over low heat in three times its volume of water for about 10 minutes from boiling.
