Sbrinz

Weight: 200

Cheese Type: pressed, cooked hard cheese

Originating from Switzerland, where it has been produced for more than 500 years according to a traditional recipe, Sbrinz AOP is the oldest extra-hard cheese in Switzerland.

After 22 months of maturing, this cheese reveals delicious, fragrant and piece-bodied flavours with a deliciously scrumbly texture. Purists advise breaking it between your fingers to taste it and above all not cutting it with a knife. You can also grate it or eat it in shavings (like parmesan).

For aperitif dinners, we recommend that you cook Sbrinz crips. For that, we mix grated sbrinz with salt and pepper, a little dried herbs like thyme. Form thin crips on baking paper. All that remains is to put it in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, the time for the cheese to melt and set.

Store it in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
