This traditional pressed tomme is crafted from raw cow’s milk in the Alpine regions. It features a firm yet supple texture beneath a natural, earthy rind. The flavour profile is balanced and nuanced, offering distinct notes of fresh cream, toasted nuts, and a subtle hint of dried herbs and cellar from its careful aging.
Perfect for a cheese board, it pairs wonderfully with a fruity red wine like a Gamay from Beaujolais or a dry white from Savoie. Enjoy it with sliced charcuterie, cornichons, and crusty bread. Its excellent melting qualities also make it ideal for gratins and rustic tarts.
Storage: Keep refrigerated, wrapped in wax paper or in a breathable container. Allow to come to room temperature before serving to appreciate its full aroma and flavour.
