The Mersiol estate, a family-owned domain, has been passed down through generations. It began in 1946 under the name “Ruhlmann,” and in 1960, Guy Mersiol and Anne-Lise Ruhlmann merged their domains into one, marketing their wine as “Guy Mersiol.” The estate now spans about twelve hectares. Since joining in 2000, Stéphane (the eldest son) has embraced a natural approach to viticulture to capture the delicate character of the granitic terroir. In 2006, the estate transitioned to organic farming.
Robust and impeccably structured, this wine unfolds with a luxurious bouquet of floral notes, including hints of rose, intertwined with a medley of spices and exotic fruits like lychee and mango. On the palate, it offers a pleasantly sweet profile, characterized by delightful flavours of apples, mangoes, tropical fruits, and a touch of honey. This wine leans toward off-dry, exhibiting a commanding presence with a lingering, enduring finish.
