Pinot Gris in Alsace, Pinot Grigio in Italy, this grape is actually a cousin of the Pinot Noir from Burgundy that is typically harvested riper, hence the sweeter notes.
Originally from Switzerland, the Frey family settled in Dambach-la-Ville at the beginning of the 18th century with the ambition of growing vine. Pioneer of Organic Agriculture and Biodynamics in Alsace, the Charles Frey family Estate has 14 hectares of property that can rely on remarkable terroirs such as Frauenberg, Victoriasberg, Grand Cru Frankstein or Blettig.
Semi-dry, round and delicate, Symbiose brings to light a great aromatic power while developing a strong fruit and flower character around an explosive bouquet of exotic aromas of lychee and mango.
A very nice match on blue cheeses and spicy starters!
