Domaine de La Garde has a historical presence dating back to the first general map of the Kingdom of France in 1756. However, the cultivation of grapes truly flourished on the estate when the Lacoste family acquired it in 1877. They were completely by the outstanding quality of the terroir, which is arguably one of the finest gravelly outcrops within the entire Pessac-Léognan appellation. With a vision as ambitious as this remarkable terroir, substantial effort and dedication have been poured into both the vineyards and the winery.

Deep and intense purple colour. The nose reveals finesse with aromas of crushed berries, ripe fruits, vanilla, roasted almonds, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, it’s full-bodied with mature and concentrated tannins. In their youth, these wines can be a bit firm, occasionally austere, but as they age, they soften, merging with oak to provide a smooth texture, boldness, and spicy flavours. The finish is long-lasting, supple, and velvety, leaving a rich aftertaste.

It complements a wide range of dishes, including various meats, foie gras, and cheese.
