Bright and high toned nose of Granny Smith, lemon, and roasted hazelnut. Same aromas with a note of butter and sweet oak spiciness on the palate. Long aftertaste with interesting multilayered Savagnin, smooth and dense with a lot of minerality.

1 review for Arbois AOC, Ouillé, Domaine du Pélican, 2018
Paul C (verified owner) –
This needs quite a bit of air (or a decant and major swirl) to settle down. But once it has it’s really rather nice. It has a slight oxidative note, nuttiness, and layers of white fruit. But also a savoury/saline note and hints of butterscotch on the finish. Overall rather complex, interesting and very quaffable.
