Made in Jura Mountains, Comté also called Gruyere de Comté was made as a way of storing the milk longer and bring a protein source to whole family all year round. 500 liters are required to make a wheel of 35 to 48 kg of this cheese. Comté has the highest production of all French AOC cheese, it is also one of our best-sellers!
Our 36 months wheel of Comté is intense, buttery, with some roasted nuts flavours and brioche notes. This AOC cheese is crunchy with some amino acid crystals in the paste.
