The name of this sparkling wine, Crémant, originates from the “crème”, the foam that could be found in excess on top of the glass when the wine was too bubbly.
Originally from Switzerland, the Frey family settled in Dambach-la-Ville at the beginning of the 18th century with the ambition of growing vine. Pioneer of Organic Agriculture and Biodynamics in Alsace, the Charles Frey family Estate has 14 hectares of property that can rely on remarkable terroirs such as Frauenberg, Victoriasberg, Grand Cru Frankstein or Blettig.
The extra-brut Crémant is matured in bottles on the lees for 24 month, which gives it its fruitiness, complexity and delicacy. Made with Pinot Blanc, Pinot Auxerrois and Riesling, it’s a very clean enjoyable and easy-drinking sparkling for your apéritif and desserts.
