Made with a collar band of pine
Produced by the Burgat family in Savoie nearby the Manigod hill, Délice des Aravis, is a beautiful young washed rind cheese. Its light orange rind is covered with a thin fluffly layer of mould on the top and arround the spruce wood collar band that helps to maintain the cheese’s shape. Its shiny beige creamy paste is rich, unctuous, and milky with a distinctive nutty and woody aroma. Dig some boiled or baked potatoes into it for a warm delight or simply spread it on a bread slice.
