This artisanal recipe from Alsace (Strasbourg) was created in 1780 by Jean-Pierre Clause and has been handed down from generation to generation.
The ancient recipe comprises whole Goose Foie Gras and pieces of Perigord black truffle seasoned with a secret blend of spices which are then gently baked in a home-made pastry crust to bring out all the flavours.
The result is an outstanding gastronomic masterpiece for the most demanding connoisseurs of fine food.
Only 5 pieces of the Pâté du Maréchal des Contades can be made per day, so don’t think twice to order it!
